This coming presidential election

This coming presidential election may be our most important election in my lifetime. Which way it goes determines the future of our country. I often think of what I read about our breaking with England and the formation of the United States. The people who were our first deciders had to decide to secede from England or remain under the king’s rule.

As it happened there was no great consensus about the matter. About twenty-five percent wanted to stay loyal to England and about twenty-five percent wanted a free land. Then about twenty-five percent or thereabout just did not care one way or the other.

This is the way it is most of the time. Some want one thing, and some want another and then there are those who just do not care a flip. It is no different in our day, some in our country are for wholesale abortion, socialism, a country without laws, except those they approve. Hate speech has come to America and if a wrong word is used or a phrase they do not like, you will be ridiculed. In some cases, they will arrest you and publicly shame you.

A large percentage of our country are what I call do nothingness. They shun any responsibility for determining the course of our country. I do not think we can count on them. We can try and motivate them, but I have little faith in these kinds of people.

There is us, the minority so to speak who do care. We believe in our constitution as it was written. The original intent is important to us. We believe in individual rights and those rights were given to us by God and not man.

We believe Socialism is the enemy of the gospel and where socialism has reared its ugly head bible believers have been persecuted.

If American can be saved it is going to be up to us. Us who refuse to stick our heads in the sand and act like everything is ok. It is up to us to refuse to give up or quit.

We must not let the church be silenced. We have a voice and we must use it.
