God ask no man whether he shall accept life. This is not the choice. You must take it. The only choice is how. Henry Ward Beecher.
An awesome self-regulation power is the power of choice.
I am who I choose to be. I am the product of my choices. My choices determine my future.
“Each day we decide what we are going to do with each moment, each hour, etc. At the end of the day, we accomplish or did not accomplish based upon our decisions.”
This is written at the bottom of a page in one of my favorite books in my library. It’s a book by Hal Urban titled “Life’s Greatest Lessons.”
I am reminded that I am responsible for the choices I make and the choices I make determine the quality of my life.
I am aware the average individual is not aware of this awesome power they hold in their hands. And not being aware is unable to take advantage of it.
There is another word I want to introduce: instinct. The reason I mention this word is because it belongs to animals.
Animals, whether dog or cat or some other animals live by instinct. Sadly, most people live by instinct, this means we are reactionary.
Another thing to point out, living by instinct like the animals, is reacting to life as opposed to choosing life.
There is a huge difference between animals and humans but to our sorrow a lot of people react to life instead of choosing it.
The bottom line is life has to be chosen or else we are just reactionaries.
