Can America Be Saved

This is the question that must be answered. It must be answered thoughtfully and truthfully. No cover up, no excuses, and no playing the blame game. Another word to put in the mix is, no playing the victimization game.

America is in danger and there are enough reasons to go around. It is like a circular saw; you get cut no matter where you stand. Before we are through, I want to point to a cause for greater than political hacking or governmental permissiveness.

But for now, let us stick to some fundamental, observable and some overt goings on in our country. A permissive society with political agendas not only permits but encourage violence. Mayhem ravages our cities and neighborhood and those in charge for ideology sake and political expediency who could do something about it; do nothing.

A tribal war is taking place, a way that pits one ethnic group against another. We are the United States of America. We are not black America, we are not white American, we are not Asian or Hispanic America. Again, we are the United States of America.

Tribalism, ethnicity is now and always have been an important part of our national heritage. Historically American diversity has been a strength and helped us flourish as a nation.

As Americans we are not against diversity. What we are for is this, every ethnic group put the interest of the United States before their cultural interest.

For instance, there are black Americans, there is white Americans, and there is Asian and Hispanic Americans. When it is all said and done, we are all Americans. We are one country, we have one constitution, we have one president at the time and each of us is guaranteed life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Nowhere are we guaranteed equal outcomes only the opportunity to pursue and enjoy our freedoms to expand, grow and enjoy those rights given to us, not by the government but given to us by God.

It is easy to think we are living in the worst of times. We see what is taking place on a personal level. This is a valid way of looking at things because current reality must be viewed in the light of day.

When we see things happening in a historical context thing do not look as bad. Maybe the worse race riot was the massacre that took place in Tulsa Oklahoma in the nineteen twenties.

We should not look at what is happening in isolation. History serves a purpose and by looking at it carefully we can more easily evaluate current events. It is not necessary to rehearse the troublesome times our country has experienced.

We have survived and even thrived despite all our setbacks. Now we have come to the current situation we find in our country. It is not just the riots and the plunder that affects us, but the soul of our country is being put to the test.

Can America be saved? Yes it can but we should not assume upon the goodness of God or be unaware of what the enemy is doing and how the enemy is attacking the church Jesus is building as he said in Matthew 16:18, “I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.”
